Tofik unosi wzrok. Spogląda świdrującym wzrokiem w obiektyw naszego aparatu. W jego ciemnych oczach odbija się bezsilność. Jak tysiące niechcianych i zapomnianych małych kucyków dostał wyrok – rzeźnia. Nikt go nie będzie wspominał. Odejdzie wraz z hukiem trapu, w ciszy własnej bezsilności.

 

Polska eksportuje rocznie na rzeź ponad 100 tysięcy koni. Stare, schorowane, kalekie, młode, zdrowe, młode, duże. Wszystkie czeka ten sam los. Wraz z hukiem trapu skończy się ich wędrówka. Stłoczone w ciężarówkach, obojętne światu pojadą w swoją ostatnią podróż. Być może za Tęczowym Mostem czeka na nie nagroda za ciężki los i okrutną śmierć? A być może jest tak, że Tęczowy Most wcale nie istnieje…

 

Tofik wraca do swojej obórki, zwiesza głowę, cichutko parska. Dziś będzie śnił o bezkresnych, zielonych pastwiskach i podmuchu wiatru w grzywie, o dzikim galopie i szumie drzew, które dawały mu kiedyś cień. A kiedy nadejdzie świadomość, będzie już za późno.
