Bo choć był z nami krótko, spędzaliśmy z nim każdą minutę.

Nasza historia

Dziś pożegnaliśmy Lucusia.
Okazało się już pierwszego dnia, że ma problemy neurologiczne.
Upadał, zataczał się, miał jechać jutro na klinikę, bo nasi weterynarze się poddali.

Ale nie wytrzymał.
Leżał bezwładnie, ciężko oddychał i patrzył błagalnym wzrokiem, by dać mu odejść. Jakby chciał powiedzieć, że on swoje życie już przeżył.

Om cięższy stawał się jego oddech, tym lżejsza była decyzja. Gdy zapadła, poczułam jak przez okno naszej stajni wlał się spokój. Śmierć, która przyszła po starego, niewidomego Lucusia, ale i spokój, taki niezmącony.

Zamknął oczy na naszych kolanach, zamknął w ciszy i wśród naszych ogromnych szlochów.

Bo choć był z nami krótko, spędzaliśmy z nim każdą minutę.

I choć nie podarowaliśmy mu życia, podarowaliśmy mu śmierć. Godną śmierć. Cichą śmierć. Śmierć bez bólu.

Lucuś jest bezpieczny!

Dziękujemy Wam z całego serca za ocalenie Lucusia! Jest już z nami na naszym folwarku, gdzie stajenni zaopiekowali się nim najlepiej, jak tylko potrafili. Staruszek odpoczywa po wszystkich przeżyciach w swoim własnym, specjalnie dla niego przygotowanym boksie. Zatroszczą się o niego również kowal i lekarz weterynarii, aby mógł w pełni cieszyć się zasłużoną emeryturą. Dziękujemy Wam w imieniu Lucusia!
